( just don't do anything to require one, tony. it's a simple solution for a simple problem! )
video |
[As long as he gets to play with energy and science. And he always deserves his beatings, sorry. What are simple solutions?]
Save me a dance?
video |
A dance? ( a curious expression flickers across shockwave's face, almost one of slight confusion. but it's momentary, replaced by another smile. ) It would be my pleasure.
( one shockwave actually figures out what a dance is. )
video |
[He hears the confusion and mistakes the pause for hesitation. After all, Orion did say they were married. It could be a marital faux pas of some kind with them.]
You don't think he'd get jealous?
video |
( 1) not married & 2) wrong species for any emotional attachment. the idea is almost amusing, if perplexing. )
video |
He has to keep prodding. Curiosity just makes this too tempting.]
Well, I just don't want to get us in trouble. He seemed a little sore the last time I spoke to him. But, to be honest, I'd love to meet you. Since you've worked on alternate power sources before, I was hoping that we might be able to exchange some notes.
video |
( there's fondness in shockwave's voice, as well as a bit of admiration. )
I would like nothing more. And I must admit to being curious about what I assume are obvious differences in what powers your technology to begin with.
video |
I'm resourceful. But I don't hold that against him. I'm sure he's been through a lot.
[He smiles as the conversation shifts back to technology. It's his favorite subject.]
I guarantee you've never seen anything like my tech. Show me yours and I'll show you mine.
video |
That remains to be seen. We're a very advanced species when it comes to technology. ( on account of being sentient technology themselves ) But I'll certainly come up with something with what I can find here.
video |
Advanced species? You're... not from Earth, then?
[Oh, boy. More advanced alien races? Really? Everyone in the universe is more advanced than they are. Why does Earth keep ending up the central hub for everyone in space?]
Still. I know my tech. Not that yours isn't impressive, but we have our own party tricks.
video |
( mostly because there wasn't anything of worth on earth some four million years ago except an easily ignored organic species that hadn't begun to do anything interesting. )
Then I'll enjoy taking a look at it and seeing what you've accomplished for an ( shockwave nearly says 'organic', but manages to stop it from escaping. the slight hiccup is noticeable but the recovery is smooth. ) a human.
video |
[If everyone else is any indication. Honestly, he's happy enough when other races decide not to come to Earth with their conflicts, but all in all he likes learning about them. As long as they don't want to conquer everyone. He hears the fraction of hesitation and smiles just a bit more.]
I'll see if I can surprise you, then.
video |
I look forward to it. Until then, Tony Stark.
video |
[Just kidding. He flashes her a last quick grin before disconnecting.]
